FULL BIO
Sarah graduated from Bel-Rea and spent about nine years working in general veterinary practice before taking a break from the profession. Her love for Cats and medicine ultimately brought her back, and she found a new home at CatsOnly.
She is a Registered Veterinary Technician and Cat Friendly Veterinary Professional, with growing interests in feline behavior and neurology. Sarah especially enjoys connecting with Cat Parents, listening to their concerns, and helping them understand what's happening throughout their Cat's care. She believes trust comes from showing people that their Cat's feelings and well-being truly matter.
She's equally attentive to the Cat in front of her, watching their body language and responding to what they may be communicating without words. What Sarah loves most about CatsOnly is the commitment to changing how Cats experience veterinary medicine.
Sarah recognizes that traditional veterinary environments can unintentionally push Cats beyond their comfort levels, often because of how care is designed or a misunderstanding of feline behavior. She's excited to be part of a team that respects each Cat's boundaries and hopes this approach becomes the norm in veterinary medicine.
At home, Sarah and her partner Jordan share their lives with Tommy, a nearly 15-year-old dilute calico who has been with Sarah since kittenhood. Tommy is wonderfully confident and content, two qualities Sarah sometimes wishes she could borrow!
She also seems to enjoy when her humans change song lyrics to include her name and will even meow along when they pause.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Sarah has always imagined alternate careers as a comedian or therapist. She jokes that she still dabbles in both during her free time.
